About Prof. Snehal Tambulwadikar Khedkar

Prof. Snehal Tambulwadikar-Khedkar brings together a deep love of art history and a flair for storytelling in both her teaching and curatorial work. After earning her BA in English from Pune University, she went on to complete her MVA in Art History, Aesthetics, and Criticism in 2011, and cleared the UGC NET the following year. Since 2011, she’s been a familiar presence at Sir J. J. School of Art in Mumbai, where she guides students through the evolution of artistic ideas, and she also shares her expertise at NID Kurukshetra. Beyond the classroom, Snehal has contributed to Whistling Woods International and helped shape India-focused content for Focillon: Art and Travel. An editor as well as a writer, she curated the essay collection Rudrattatva and explored modern mural practices in Roop-Bheda. Her solo show “Khya” revealed her poetic vision, and in Berlin she brought to light colonial-era indigo stories with her Blue Amnesia project. In everything she does, Snehal weaves academic insight with a genuine passion for bringing art’s hidden narratives to life.
